Open the MRI disc, folder or ZIP the hospital gave you and look through every series — scroll, adjust brightness and contrast, measure, see three planes and 3D. Free, no account, nothing uploaded.

Open your scans here: https://mesdicom.com/mri-viewer/ — or at https://mesdicom.com/

You can view your MRI online without installing anything: open the disc, folder or ZIP from the hospital with the buttons above, and MesDICOM shows every series in your browser. Your scans aren't uploaded — they're opened and processed on your computer.

## Why does my MRI have so many series?

An MRI study is several scans in one visit. Each **series** is one sequence — T1, T2, FLAIR, diffusion and so on — often taken in more than one direction, and sometimes again after a contrast injection. Each looks different because each shows tissue differently. That is normal: a head MRI often has ten series or more.

MesDICOM lists them in a rail beside the image. Pick a series, then scroll through its images.

## What can I do with my MRI images?

| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Scroll | Moves through the images of a series, with the mouse wheel or the image slider |
| Brightness and contrast | Drag on the image; MR presets for brain T1 and T2, plus full range |
| Zoom, pan, rotate, flip | Look closer or turn the image; double-click to reset |
| Length and angle | Measure on the image, in millimetres when the file carries its pixel spacing |
| Cine | Plays a series as a movie, 5 to 60 frames a second |
| Three planes | Axial, coronal and sagittal views of one series, linked by a crosshair |
| 3D | Five renderings of a volume series, which you can turn and zoom |
| DICOM Info | Patient, study and series details, and every DICOM tag, searchable |

## How do I see my MRI in three planes?

Open a series and switch to **MPR**. MesDICOM builds a volume from the series and shows the axial, coronal and sagittal planes side by side, linked by a crosshair: click in one plane and the others follow. Open any plane full size, measure in it, or change the window for all three.

Three planes and 3D need a series of parallel slices. The clearest results come from thin-slice series; a series taken as a few thick slices still opens in 2D.

## Will it open my MRI disc?

Yes, if the disc holds DICOM images, which hospital discs do. Choose the whole disc — not DICOMDIR or the program on it. Step by step: [opening a CT or MRI disc](https://mesdicom.com/open-dicom-cd/).

## Which browsers work?

Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS. 3D needs WebGL 2, which most computers have. On a phone, MesDICOM opens DICOM files and ZIP archives.

MesDICOM is for viewing and reference only — not intended for diagnosis or treatment decisions.

## Questions

### Is it free to view my MRI here?

Yes. MesDICOM on the web is free, with no account.

### Can MesDICOM tell me what my MRI shows?

No. MesDICOM shows the images; it doesn't interpret them. The radiologist's report and your doctor explain the findings.

### Why do my MRI images look blurry in the other planes?

A series scanned as thick slices in one direction has little detail between them, so the other two planes look stretched. Series with thin slices give the clearest planes and 3D.

### Can I save an image to send to someone?

Yes. **Share Image** saves the image on screen as a PNG at its own size, with the brightness and contrast you set. No patient name or date travels with it.
